Preemie Doll Reborn By Me!

This sweet girl was Reborn on August 30th with only 15 hours of "labor"...

Her newborn baby skin tone was established with many different layers of paint, veins delicately placed, a stork bite on her forehead, and even a heart shaped beauty mark on her left thigh all designed by myself. Weighted with glass beads to a perfect preemie weight of 3lbs. 2ozs. With her tiny legs bent she is just over 16inches long.

Her nails are all painted with white tips, lips are glossed, eyebrows, and her eyelashes were hand painted. She is even scented with baby powder and is wearing a preemie size Pampers Swaddler!

Baby's angelic glass eyes look so real! You are able to wash, brush and care for her soft top quality Mohair that was all hand rooted piece by piece.

I listed her on Ebay last night, her reserve is $99 and included free shipping! If she does not sell I know a little mommy that I bet would love to adopt her.

Urgent prayer request for Cindy Wyatt

I first heard about Cindy's journey through my mom's friend. After reading her Caring Bridge story I new my faith readers had to hear it too, you have gotten us through so much with my Papa. I am coming to ask you to please, be a prayer warrior for Cindy and her family. Cindy's husband Steve is the senior pastor at Christ Church of the Crossroads in Anthem, Arizona

To brief you on her story:

Cindy was diagnosed with breast & lymph node cancer back in Feb. '09, shortly after she had a lumpectomy. Margins were clean and lymph nodes were clear, God answered their prayers! Both radiation and chemotherapy were used to treat her disease and she had her last chemo treatment on July 15, 09!

August 16, 2009 Cindy suffered a seizure, a CAT scan revealed she has 6 lesions on her brain. She has been transferred to The Barrow Institute (same hospital Papa was in)

The MRI results showed she actually has 16 lesions on the brain, and they are definitely cancer. She will need full head radiation for 3 weeks. There will be no brain biopsy as she is not a surgical candidate. Steve, Cindy's husband will take her home today from Barrows to be with her kids and family. Her PET scan is being done right now and she will be seen tomorrow to begin the process of radiation.

1st week of school....

Olivia started pre-school this past week and Jalen entered the third grade. Taking the time to comb and gel Jalen's 5 cowlicks into place prior to leaving the house was a waste of time, he tossed it around with his fingers once he entered the school gates. Apparently having your hair combed and in place is no longer cool.

Olivia attends 5 days per week for about 2.5 hours per day. The start time of Liv's class is just about 5 minutes after Jalen's starts, sure makes it easy for me to walk her to class after dropping Jalen. She has been a great comfort to her sweet new friend Simone.

Overall is has been an awesome first week for all! Liam is loving his time alone with mommy...and so is mommy!

P.S. Please pray for Liam today, he has a terrible cough coming on.

Blessed Assurace

Nana was telling me about the breaking news story regarding a family of four being found dead in their Scottsdale Az. home. Apparently a murder suicide, looks like the Dad pulled the trigger killing his wife, son (5), and son (10).
I briefly read the story on azcentral before getting into the tub. If you are anything like me when you see news stories like this you may feel there is little hope for the future. I get concerned for my kids, my grand kids and even my great-grand kids.
I jumped out of the tub, got my bible and got back in. I started praying for this family, praying for their neighbors, friends and loved ones. Psalm 37, story about David trusting in the Lord immediately came to mind.

Even when it looks like evil will over power righteousness in our fallen world, God never abandons His children. They may experience heartache, God's children are never forsaken. His blessings will extend into the next generation.

He never ceases to amaze me when I start in prayer and with the only manual I need in my life.

We feel so blessed to have Ava as our niece! She is the baby girl of the Self family and Olivia's best friend/sister at heart.
