Excited and super busy getting everything together for my first photography workshop for beginners right here in sunny Gilbert, Arizona. I am keeping it small for my first workshop, maybe around 8 students max. It looks like I already have 7 that have paid, I have room for one or two more. Delivery room births or home deliveries? Seems like so many moms are now choosing a more natural way with a midwife, doula, and a birthing tub. I do love attending a birth where a doula or a midwife is present, it really sets a different mood.

Here are some images I captured from one of my favorite hospitals in Gilbert, Mercy Gilbert.

After the new year I made the decision to solely photo maternity, delivery room/ labor & delivery, and newborns. I could be happier for the time it has freed up for my family. I realized soon after starting Kristen Self Photography my love for newborns. I simply can't get enough of them!
