Blessed Assurace

Nana was telling me about the breaking news story regarding a family of four being found dead in their Scottsdale Az. home. Apparently a murder suicide, looks like the Dad pulled the trigger killing his wife, son (5), and son (10).
I briefly read the story on azcentral before getting into the tub. If you are anything like me when you see news stories like this you may feel there is little hope for the future. I get concerned for my kids, my grand kids and even my great-grand kids.
I jumped out of the tub, got my bible and got back in. I started praying for this family, praying for their neighbors, friends and loved ones. Psalm 37, story about David trusting in the Lord immediately came to mind.

Even when it looks like evil will over power righteousness in our fallen world, God never abandons His children. They may experience heartache, God's children are never forsaken. His blessings will extend into the next generation.

He never ceases to amaze me when I start in prayer and with the only manual I need in my life.
